Welcome
Pixyboots AS is a Norway-based creative studio
shaping original, feminine narratives that bridge cultures and ideas.
Born in Singapore and shaped by life across four continents, I founded Pixyboots to turn curiosity, imagination, and lived experience into work that connects people through film, visual art, and cross‑disciplinary projects.
Today, the studio offers both creative support for film and media clients and a upcoming premium art shop where original work becomes accessible prints and objects.
The Story of Pixyboots
Art, how it came about and how it evolves to film
Since the pandemic and the birth of her first child in 2020, Pixyboots the artist has been reflecting a lot on life and death. What is on her bucket list, how many more years she might have, what she fears the most doing, that sort of thing. This period of deep introspection led her to pivot her earlier film distribution company toward a new creative path: blending art and film into a single, more personal practice.
From the age of four, she has been drawing, painting, cutting paper, and experimenting with tape and glue, often turning her father’s discarded A4 paper from Singapore Airlines into large, floor‑spread drawings. Her living room became her first studio: she would wake at 5 a.m. every day, sit on the floor (she wasn’t allowed to draw at the table), and draw for the whole day. In that quiet, daily ritual, she accumulated far more than 10,000 hours of practice.
At sixteen, she found herself at a crossroads and decided she wanted to be a film director. After earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s in film and television, she spent two decades immersed in film production, management, and distribution. In 2024, she finally realized her long‑held dream of directing, with her short film GONG entering a new chapter in April 2025, when it premiered internationally at FANTASPOA—the largest genre film festival in Latin America—where it competed for the festival’s selection to the Méliès d’Argent Best Short Film Award.
Today, Pixy is studying full‑time at Einar Granum College of Fine Art in Oslo, while continuing to take on freelance projects that bridge her worlds of film, art, and creative collaboration. She is also Festival Director and founder for the inaugural Singapore Nordic Film Festival in September 2025.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Do You Know?
The name "PIXYBOOTS" came about because
a dear friend from England loved to call the founder "PIXY"
and on a cold winter day, he gave her furry boots
and chanted "PIXY BOOTS, PIXY BOOTS".
In memory of David Passes
the finest, most magical and creative person in the world.

SIMON
EDWARDS
FILM & THEATRE MAKER, SPAIN
"Adrienne is one of the best team players I have worked with. Her level of professional skill and natural talent gives her a creative edge. As a producer she inspires an atmosphere of creative freedom where one feels empowered to take artistic risks - to 'push the envelope' without fear. This is because she is an artist as well as a producer and has that special empathy that encourages artistic excellence. Her influence on my work has been profound. I hope and look forward to working with her again."
